Quinlan Cooney is a painter from San Francisco, California. Quinlan studied in Florence, Italy for five years at the Charles H.Cecil Studios, under the mentorship of Charles H. Cecil and Sam Good. During this time he also worked as a studio assistant at the atelier, teaching other students. After his studies Quinlan returned to San Francisco.

He draws his inspiration from the natural world and the people he meets, and believes that the only way to properly interpret his surroundings in art is by working from life. Through his art, he hopes to inspire others to spend more time looking closely at the world around them, and to appreciate the simple but often hidden beauty that is always in front of us everyday; we need only look for it to notice it.
